When trying to download a file from an e-mail and the following error message appears;


You will have to go into the Microsoft Office program you are trying to open.

For example Microsoft Office Word, click on file then Options which will bring up the options menu below.  

Click into trust center. Once in the trust center then trust center setting.

 Go to protected files down the left column and untick all boxes which should be;

Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet
Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe locations.
Enable Protected View for Outlook attachments.



Click Apply, OK. Close the Office application and attempt to open the document again.
