You set it/blank it once in the OpenVPN Settings on the CMS for a given Mako.
If users have already downloaded a config file before you make the change then unfortunately they will need to download a new config... or if technically inclined they could edit their existing config to remove the DNS entry.
i.e. you or the customer needs to blank it for their Mako as it is currently set:
