It’s an encryption ZIP file – and opening the file or scanning it with AV can break the encryption and consequently the file will be be effective.

 

  • · Please save the file onto a simple USB memory pen (flash drive)
  • · Plug the USB flash drive into the rear of the Mako firewall (ensure fully seated) and power on the Mako.
  • · Plug the WAN connect into the Mako and connect to the internet.
  • · Wait 10 minutes
  • · There should be oscillating lights on the front of the Mako
  • · Remove USB flash drive and verify that the config.zip file has been removed (this means a successful firmware upgrade)
  • · Connect laptop to LAN1 or LAN2 and test connectivity.
